The brothers talk to The Music Universe on the Grammys Red Carpet

The Brothers Osborne discussed their decade in the spotlight with The Music Universe while walking the red carpet at the Grammys on Sunday (Feb 4th).

Having seen Brothers Osborne open for Little Big Town a decade ago, over a year before the duo’s 2016 debut Pawn Shop, The Music Universe reporter Matt Bailey asked the country music superstars to describe the journey of the past ten years from relative obscurity to mainstream acceptance.

“You’re making me feel really good about ourselves,” TJ Osborne started. He was also open about what he called their “slow climb,” telling Bailey, “I wanted it to go faster, I’m not gonna lie. But when I look back at the way it has gone, I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Osborne also talked about being so involved in his band’s career, stating it was hard to appreciate the milestones as they happened. “When I go and I look back two years, three years, five years ago, I’m like, ‘Whoa! We’ve come so far.’”

But, the Grammy winners have learned to take time to celebrate their successes, telling us, “Now, this might be our tenth year coming to the Grammys. And I think about the first year we walked on this carpet and just how much of a nervous wreck we were. And to be here now and to not feel quite like the imposters we did that first year, [is a great feeling].”

Brothers Osborne were nominated at this year’s 66th annual ceremony for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their song “Nobody’s Nobody.”
