Band shares more dates for 2023

Further making good on their New Year’s Eve promise that they’d see you all soon, Foo Fighters have announced three new headline shows. The newly confirmed stops include Gilford, NH; Rogers, AR; and Pelham, AL. These are in addition to the previously announced festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, Harley-Davidson Homecoming, Sonic Temple, Sea. Hear. Now, and two German festivals.

Tickets for all three shows will be on sale to the public beginning Friday, March 3rd at 10 am local time. Foofighters.com and Citi pre-sales begin Tuesday, February 28th at noon ET.

On December 31st, the group announced it’ll be “a different band going forward” following the unexpected passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. Hawkins was found dead in his Bogota, Colombia hotel room on March 25th while the group was on tour in South America. Initial results released by the Colombia Attorney General’s Office over the weekend indicate marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids were among 10 different substances found in his body. Further details reveal that Hawkins had a “cardiovascular collapse” after binging on a bevy of drugs in his Four Seasons hotel room. Forensic experts have also revealed that his heart weighed 600 grams (1.3 pounds), double the average size of a man his age of 50 years old.

The band has been on hiatus ever since, canceling the remainder of its tour dates. The band has yet to unveil Hawkins’ replacement.

In September, Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee hosted two Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts. The events took place at London’s Wembley Stadium and Los Angeles’ Forum with all-star lineups that included members of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Metallica, Blink 182, Pretenders and more.
