The incendiary opening track of Foo Fighters’ critical and commercial smash album Medicine At Midnight — also the first song in the encore of the band’s triumphant Madison Square Garden show — blazes in a whole new way with “Making A Fire,” the Mark Ronson Re-Version.

Produced by Mark Ronson, the re-version features members of Antibalas, the Budos Band, the Dap-Kings, El Michels Affair, La Buya, Menahan Street Band), the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Tuatara — all providing a combustible new backdrop to Dave Grohl’s unmistakable vocal, as well as the irresistible refrain by a back-up vocal quartet featuring Violet Grohl.

The Madison Square Garden show was the first full capacity show in New York since March 2020. This historic moment marked Foo Fighters ushering in the post-COVID arena rock era with Madison Square Garden’s first concert in more than 460 days. The three hour show featured 24 songs including an appearance from Dave Chapelle for a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.” They dedicated the performance to their late stage manager, Andy Pollard, who passed away unexpectedly two days before.

Last week, the band performed its full capacity show since the pandemic at The Canyon in Agoura Hills, CA. Tickets were only $26 and concertgoers were given 12 hours notice before three thousand patrons showed up to purchase all 600 tickets.

Earlier this week, they announced the first full capacity concert at the iconic Forum in Los Angeles in more than a year for July 17th. Tickets will be on sale to the public as of June 25th at 10 am PT via Ticketmaster.

Having confirmed their appearances atop the 2021 lineups of Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and BottleRock, Foo Fighters are returning to the road on the 25th 26th Anniversary Tour this summer. The first set of dates kick off July 28th and wrap August 9th with Redkey as support.

Also on July 17th, Dave Grohl and Co will release Hail Satin, a tribute to the Bee Gees, as The Dee Gees, on limited edition vinyl packaged in an era-appropriate rainbow mylar sleeve. The disco record is part of the second Record Store Day Drops in 2021 and features Bee Gees covers on one side and live at 606 renditions of roughly half of Foo Fighters Medicine at Midnight album.
