Brooks has teased the establishment for two years

Garth Brooks may be the next artist opening a multi-space venue in Downtown Nashville. The Nashville Business Journal reports that Brooks and partners have obtained the former Paradise Park building at 411 Broadway, according to multiple unnamed sources.

In December 2021, the 42,394-square-foot building sold for $48 million to 411, LLC, according to Nashville Metro records. Brooks’ business manager, Cheryl Harris of O’Neil Hagaman PLLC, is the registered agent of 411, LLC which has a mailing address belonging to that of Brooks’ attorney, Russell A. Jones.

The Biz Journal also reports that a hotel, restaurant and services trademark for “Friends in Low Places” was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office in September 2020 with an address matching that of O’Neil Hagaman’s. However, that trademark application doesn’t indicate an address where the business would be operating.

Sources also indicate that the establishment could include a concept by Brooks’ wife and fellow country star Trisha Yearwood. Metro Nashville records don’t indicate any building permits have been issued for the site recently.

In 2020, Brooks confirmed he was working on opening his own dive bar in Nashville. “Things you probably shouldn’t say… I’m gonna say, if you’re betting, kinda bet toward it happening because it’s just something coming in the future, but it’s gonna be done the way we do it. It’ll be its own place, very much like Blake’s is his own place. We’re gonna be done our own way. It’s coming in probably the next two years, three years, because when you talk about Broadway, it’s the friends in low places right there. It’s the perfect place.”

Further details will be shared as they become available.
