The festival takes place this spring

Kiss bassist and founder Gene Simmons’ new solo band will be the surprise attraction of the second edition of Summer Breeze Open Air Brazil, which will be held between April 26th and 28th at Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo.

The Gene Simmons Band features Simmons on bass and vocals, guitarists and vocalists Brent Woods (Wildside, Sebastian Bach and Vince Neil) and Zach Throne (Corey Taylor) and drummer Brian Tichy (Lynch Mob, The Dead Daisies, Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Pride & Glory, Slash’s Snakepit and others).

The performance will be Simmons’ first since Kiss wrapped its live career last month with a pair of shows in New York City.

Simmons will headline night one with performances by Mr. Big and Sebastian Bach, among others. Saturday features Within Temptation headlining alongside Epica and Hammerfall. Sunday closes with Mercyful Fate headlining with Anthrax and Killswitch Engagement, among other acts.

“Let’s enjoy lots of amazing bands, lots of parallel experiences and celebrate these three incredible days we’ve all been waiting for!” organizers share.

In addition to the musical attractions, the festival has several experiences and activations for the whole family. Among them are a geek fair, tattoo and Horror Expo, vinyl sales, kids’ space with monitors, rest areas, lectures, diverse gastronomy, and a lounge with priority access, open bar and open food.
