Episode airs Jan 18th on ABC

The ABC-TV hit comedy The Goldbergs will celebrate Mozart’s birthday on Wednesday, January 18th at 8:30 pm with a special nod to the legendary composer.

Based on a suburban family in the 1980s, The Goldbergs often pay homage to hit movies of the 80s and will do so again when they give a nod to the 1984 hit, Amadeus with an all-new episode entitled, “Amadoofus.” The episode also includes the 1985 hit single, “Rock Me Amadeus,” recorded by the late Falco, as the featured song of the week.

The “Amadoofus” episode of The Goldbergs was written by David Guarascio, and directed by Princess Monique. The episode features the return of popular character Dave Kim to Jenkintown, and barring mixed emotions from the family, a special someone expresses their infatuation with Beverly Goldberg.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, born on January 27, 1756, was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical period. Despite his short life, his rapid pace of composition resulted in more than 800 works of virtually every genre of his time.

The Goldbergs stars Wendi McLendon-Covey as Beverly Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile as Barry Goldberg, Hayley Orrantia as Erica Goldberg, and Sam Lerner as Geoff Schwartz.
