The rocker is the latest artist planning a multi-story complex

Jon Bon Jovi seems to be associated with a forthcoming entertainment venue on Nashville’s famed Lower Broad. The Nashville Business Journal cites multiple unnamed sources have claimed that the rocker has been working with Nashville real-estate investment firm, Big Plan Holdings, for an L-shaped vacant lot at 405 Broadway since November 2020.

Details are unclear, but the Biz Journal reports that JBJ Broadway LLC was registered with the state of Tennessee in February 2021. The Nashville Post reports that the structure, when built, will accommodate about 30,000 square feet across five floors with two fifth-story outdoor rooftop decks and will face both Broadway and Fourth Avenue South.

Jon Bon Jovi’s involvement has yet to be confirmed. Big Plan Holdings founder and CEO Josh Joseph told the Nashville Post in October 2021 that he had hoped to reveal his celebrity partner who is “one of the most iconic names in music history” with Nashville ties in early 2022.

The complex is not expected to be country music based, which is traditional for venues throughout the touristy area of Lower Broadway, but will “play a good bit of country music with a rock and roll vibe.”

The site is located between Merchants restaurant, Nudie’s Honky Tonk and Loser’s Bar and Grill, with the latter facing Fourth Avenue South.

Big Plan Holdings closed on the property in October of 2020 for $9.4 million, a record setting deal for a downtown real estate land transaction. The real estate venture’s website says construction was to start during the first quarter of 2022.

If reports are true, Bon Jovi would join Kid Rock and Jimmy Buffett as the only non country artists to have an entertainment venue on Nashville’s Lower Broadway. He’d also be the third music artist with a forthcoming complex in the area as Garth Brooks and Eric Church are opening their own multi-story entertainment complexes in the future.
