Jordan Rager, Dream Doll are among 5 Artists You Need to Know

Music is one of the most inspirational influences we have today. There is a massive amount of new music being put out every day, especially with the pandemic forcing musicians off the road. People are constantly asking me what new songs they should explore and add to their playlists. I find that my musical influences are constantly evolving. Here are five artists you need to know that have their own style, sound and persona.

Jordan Rager

Georgia native and former The Voice contestant Jordan Rager is highly underrated. Jordan’s first connection to Nashville was Jason Aldean’s father, Barry Williams. They met through mutual friends and Barry helped shaped some Jordan early in his career, leading to an opening slot on Justin Moore’s tour in 2013. Jordan’s voice is pure, authentic and noticeable. His distinct vocals and humble personality help him stand out. His songwriting skills fit Nashville’s mainstream country sound. So, if you like Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch and Jake Owen, you’ll love Jordan Rager.

Wacotron

Texas hip hop artist Wacotron is an upcoming artist signed with Pick Six Records (the same label as Morray). He’s currently one of my favorites. He recently released a new track, “Take Off” with a solid flow memorable beat. This a must-add to your next playlist.

Tom O’Connor

Texas country singer/songwriter Tom O’Connor has done a lot during his career. He has written and sang with the likes of Luke Combs, including his latest single, “Deserve” that’s available at all streaming platforms now. He’s gained a strong following of passionate fans. His new single, “Nowhere Flowers” is available tomorrow (Fri, Feb 12th). His hard working dedication makes him an asset to Red Dirt country.

Dream Doll

New York rapper Dream Doll is on the rise. She was on several reality TV shows including Bad Girls Club and Love & Hip Hop, but lately her music is front and center. Her “Different Freestyle” video has surpassed a million views on YouTube. It’s the year of female rappers and Dream Doll is securing her spot. She is insanely talented and highly favored on social media. Fans love her and her music. I mean, can you blame them?

Miko Marks

Country star Miko Marks took some time off but now that she’s back, she is crushing everything. Marks, being an African American singer/songwriter has worked extremely hard to be welcomed into the country community. She deserves her accolades with her soft, pure and country to the core songs. Marks’ vocal ability is chilling and her storytelling is deep-seated. She is special and needs to be heard.
