The upcoming artist is named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024

Vocal powerhouse Karley Scott Collins brings her soulful, smoky grit to channel her nana’s energy and charisma on her new track, “Marlboro Reds,” available now via Sony Music Nashville. The swampy rocker shines a light on Collins’ sharp songwriting, embodying the wit and wisdom that her family matriarch has earned during her colorful life.

“Growing up, when nana would take a smoke break, we’d sit together and she’d tell me all about her life,” Collins sahres. “I think I heard every curse word for the first time, heard about how she got her first speeding ticket on the way to see Merle Haggard, laughed harder than I probably ever have, and learned a lot about the best and worst parts of life. Sitting next to nana is one of my favorite places to be in the world. I hope when people hear this one, they feel like they’re right there with me, Nana, and her Marlboro Reds.”

The Florida native was recently named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024, recognized as one of the most exciting upcoming female artists in the format. Alumna of the program include Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson, and more. On February 27th, she’ll take the stage at Nashville’s City Winery for CMT Next Women of Country + Song Suffragettes writers round.

Having toured with Larry Fleet throughout last fall, Collins will soon open for one of her musical idols – Willie Nelson – on select dates in February and is set to make her European debut at the C2C Festival from March 2-10. Appearing in Rotterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, London, Glasgow, and Belfast, the songstress will perform as part of the Country Music Association’s Introducing Nashville set.
