Dan + Shay, Toby Keith, Loretta Lynn and others also being honored

The Academy of Country Music has announced the recipients of the Special Awards for the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards which include Ken Burn’s Country Music, Rac Clark, Luke Combs, Ross Copperman, Dan + Shay, Joe Galante, Toby Keith, Lady A, Loretta Lynn, Gretchen Peters, Curly Putman and Rascal Flatts. The event will take place Wednesday, August 25th at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Honorees will be celebrated during the 14th Annual ACM Honors, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 55th and 56th Academy of Country Music Awards. The Academy of Country Music Special Awards are voted on by the ACM Board of Directors for specific achievements. Leading up to ACM Honors, ACM Party for a Cause Benefitting ACM Lifting Lives, will return in August with more details to follow in the coming weeks, making it the first time ACM Party for a Cause will be in Nashville, TN.

Additionally, off-camera categories to be feted at ACM Honors include Studio Recording Award winners, along with Songwriter of the Year Award winner for the second consecutive year, Hillary Lindsey. SRA (Studio Recording Awards) and Industry Award winners from the 55th ACM Awards will also be celebrated during this year’s ACM Honors. The eligibility period for this year’s ACM Honors was January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020 and the eligibility period for 55th ACM Awards was January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019.

ACM Professional Members can purchase tickets in a special pre-sale beginning 10 am CST- 10 pm CST on Thursday, June 17th via Ticketmaster. The pre-sale code will be emailed to all Professional Members prior to the on-sale date. Tickets will go on-sale to the general public at 10 am CST Friday, June 18th ranging from $85-$142.

Eighty VIP Packages will be available starting Friday, June 18th at 10 am CST. VIP seating includes parking, VIP Artist Pit seating location, VIP Pre-Party Reception with complimentary beverages and light hors d’oeuvres and an official commemorative ACM Honors Hatch Print. Tickets for VIP are priced at $1,000.
