The duo announces two free fan shows

Two of Ohio’s biggest superstars, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) and Trippie Redd join forces to kick off a new exhilarating era, Genre: Sadboy. Imbued by hard truths, emotion, and full-speed aggression, the Ohio legends prove why they’re an untouchable force as a duo on the ten-track offering. Earlier this week, they unveiled their first video, “Lost Boys.” Directed by Sam Cahill, Trippie’s cries, along with MGK’s morbid lyrics about suicide and addiction, are poignant for core fans.

To maximize their efforts, on April 2nd and April 4th, MGK and Trippie will perform at New York City’s Irving Plaza and Columbus, Ohio’s The Bluestone. Fans can now request up to two tickets for the free shows in New York and Columbus at genresadboy.com. Requests must be submitted by Sunday, March 31st at 10 pm ET and do not guarantee tickets. Ticket confirmations will be sent out in the evening on Monday, April 1st.

Last week, two heavyweights joined forces and unleashed a 17-minute documentary highlighting the 18-month recording process and their brotherly bond. From reciting cuts from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter II album to playing practical jokes in the studio, MGK and Trippie give fans an in-depth view into arguably the most anticipated joint project in years. They also held an intimate listening session in LA, unveiling their album track-by-track. Trippie Redd and MGK aren’t strangers to collaborating, as they teamed up on previous songs including “Candy,” “All I Know” and “Pill Breaker.”

With unmatched resumes consisting of chart-topping albums, Grammy nominations, and numerous Billboard Hot 100 hit records, MGK and Trippie Redd are destined for global domination as a singular force, all while adding to a genre fueled by gloom and dejection.
