Event was slated to take place in Philadelphia

Jay-Z’s Made in America festival is no longer taking place in 2023. Organizers cite “severe circumstances” as the cause of the cancelation of the annual Labor Day Weekend event in Philadelphia.

“Due to severe circumstances outside of production control, the 2023 Made in America festival will no longer be taking place. This decision has been difficult and has not been made lightly nor without immense deliberation,” a statement reads.

“Made in America has a legacy of delivering exceptional experiences for music fans and concert goers, and it is our commitment to always deliver a top-tier festival experience.”

All ticket holders will be refunded at original point of purchase. Organizers expect the event to return in 2024 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.

The 2023 event was slated to see Sza and Lizzo headline with performances from Miguel, Tems, Metro Boomin, and others.

With community central to the Made In America experience, the event has generated over $180 million in economic impact for the city of Philadelphia since the inaugural two-day concert in 2012. This year was expecting to see Cause Village returning to showcase and support the incredible work of various organizations that focus on an array of causes ranging from education, voter registration, animal welfare, arts & culture, social justice, mental health, and more.
