Song will appear on third album

Maren Morris has released “Circles Around This Town,” a new autobiographical track, via Columbia Nashville. The song was written by Morris and her artist/husband Ryan Hurd, pop singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Jimmy Robbins. It’s the debut single from her highly-anticipated forthcoming third album, expected sometime this year.

“‘Circles Around This Town’ is about my journey from Texas to Nashville almost nine years ago to become a songwriter,” Morris shares of the new track. “And everything that I had to go through to get to where I am today. And it’s just a nice, nostalgic look back on my life for me and hopefully inspiring to any aspiring songwriter out there.”

The song, which names drops two of her previous hits, can be downloaded now, and impacts radio on Monday, January 10th. Reba’s voice is featured as the TV announcer at the beginning of the video encouraging the “little brunette pacing around the kitchen” to see “what life could be like in humble Nashville, Tennessee.”

Additional details about Morris’ third album are forthcoming.
