The Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville has announced that Vince Gill, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Don McLean, Ray Stevens, engineer George Massenburg, and producer Jim Guercio will be inducted into the Class of 2022.

This special event will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7 pm at the Historic Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Limited tickets available now at Ticketmaster.

This celebratory evening will be hosted by Academy of Country Music Award winning singer-songwriter Phil Vassar and will feature several exciting live performances. Guest performers include Rodney Crowell, Steve Miller, Wendy Moten, Mike Farris, and more.

This event marks the first induction ceremony since 2019 and follows the passing of founder and CEO Joe Chambers who died in late September at the age of 68.

One of the most popular artists in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. Since then, Gill has won 17 additional CMA Awards, including Song of the Year four times – making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history, and a total of 22 Grammy Awards, his most recent one for Best Country Solo Performance – “When My Amy Prays.” The Academy of Country Music has conferred on Gill eight awards, including its Home Depot Humanitarian Award and the Career Achievement Award. He has been a touring member of the Eagles since founder and guitarist Glenn Frey passed away in 2017.

Marty Stuart is the newest inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame, a five-time Grammy-winner, Platinum recording artist, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from the Americana Music Association, Grand Ole Opry star, country music archivist, photographer, musician, and songwriter. Since starting out singing gospel as a child, Stuart has spent over four decades celebrating American roots music. His teenage years on tour with bluegrass legend Lester Flatt in the ’70s were followed by six years in Johnny Cash’s band in the ’80s, and a chart-topping tenure as a solo artist in the ’90s. Stuart is currently raising funds and awareness for The Marty Stuart Congress of Country Music (MSCCM), a cultural center, in his hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi which will celebrate the rich heritage of country music through live musical performance and educational programming.

Don McLean is a Grammy Award honoree, a Songwriter Hall of Fame member, a BBC Lifetime Achievement award recipient, and his smash hit “American Pie” resides in the Library of Congress National Recording Registry and was named by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA) a top five song of the 20th century. A New York native, McLean is one of the most revered and respected songwriters in American history. After paying his dues in the New York club scene in the late ‘60s, he went on to score mega-hits like “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air” and many more. His catalog of songs have been recorded by Madonna, Garth Brooks, Josh Groban, Drake, Weird “Al” Yankovic, and countless others. “American Pie” has been a staple of pop culture since its release in 1971. The song has been featured in films including the more recent Avenger’s Black Widow and the Tom Hanks movie Finch. In July, Paramount+ released a documentary called The Day The Music Died: The Story of Don McLean’s “American Pie.” McLean is currently on the road celebrating the American Pie 50th Anniversary World Tour.

Twelve-time nominated and two-time Grammy Award winner Ray Stevens has spanned the generations with more than 60 years of comedic musical talent. Throughout his career, Stevens has sold more than 40 million albums. In 2018, the music legend opened his very own Nashville entertainment venue, the CabaRay Showroom, a 35,000 square foot music venue where Stevens performs weekly live concerts. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and has a star on the Music City Walk of Fame.
