NECA unveils Bon Jovi seven-inch action figure

The collectible figure will be released in April 2024

The Bon Jovi 40th anniversary celebration continues with the announcement of a seven-inch scale Jon Bon Jovi action figure from the band’s Slippery When Wet era. NECA, a leading global distributor of licensed consumer products based on popular products and brands, will release the figure in April 2024.

With their “bigger is better” approach to rock and roll, Bon Jovi changed the landscape with the release of their seminal album, Slippery When Wet. This Ultimate Jon Bon Jovi action figure is fully poseable and ready to rock, with guitar, microphone, and stand, and interchangeable hands and face plates. The design of the figure brings fans back to the Slippery When Wet Tour and the days of big hair and bigger rock sounds.

The figure will be released with a display-friendly window box packaging with an opening front flap.

Jon and former guitarist Richie Sambora were previously immortalized as figures by McFarland Toys in 2007.

The group recently teamed with Hasbro for a Bon Jovi-branded version of Monopoly to honor the band’s triumph in 2024. The completely customized game features Bon Jovi’s career playing thousands of concerts performed in more than 50 countries to more than 35 million fans. From their start in Asbury Park to headlining sold-out shows in cities around the world, fans can own them all with the game.

Additional 40th anniversary plans are in place as the group hits the milestone with their debut album next year. Recently, Sambora shared that a documentary was in the works and hopes to reunite with his bandmates for an upcoming tour, although further details haven’t been revealed.

Jon will also be honored as the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year for the 33rd annual Person of the Year benefit gala taking place ahead of the Grammys on February 2nd in Los Angeles. In addition to his extensive musical achievements, Jon Bon Jovi is being recognized for his impactful philanthropic work.

Last week, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band released “Christmas Isn’t Christmas,” an original holiday track. The song was recently recorded in Nashville and released via Island Records.

In February, Bon Jovi earned its second video in YouTube’s Billion Views Club with “Livin’ On A Prayer.” In a social media announcement video, Jon teased big plans are in the works for the band’s 40th anniversary in 2023 which may include a follow up to Bon Jovi’s 2004 box set. There’s been no further news on the box or additional plans as of press time, but Jon has been spotted around Nashville recently as they work on the follow-up to the band’s 2020 album and an entertainment complex on Nashville’s Lower Broadway.
