Stick Season lands in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 for the fourth time

Following his massive breakout year, Grammy Best New Artist nominee Noah Kahan is kicking 2024 off with global chart success and a slew of new career milestones. This week, his gold-certified album Stick Season rose to the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart once again, marking the fourth time the album has claimed a spot in the Top 10 since its original release in 2022. Kahan also receives his first global No. 1 single with the platinum-certified “Stick Season” reaching No. 1 on the UK, Ireland & Netherlands Official Singles Charts. Not to mention, he currently graces the cover of Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist. Over the holidays, “Northern Attitude” featuring Hozier peaked at No. 1 on the AAA radio chart, his third No. 1 song at the format.

Following his biggest year of touring yet, Kahan will soon embark on his massive We’ll All Be Here Forever World Tour, which includes headline shows in stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters around the world, including two sold-out nights at Boston’s Fenway Park, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, London’s The O2, and many more.

Last month, Kahan made a career-defining musical debut on Saturday Night Live, delivering electrifying performances of “Stick Season” and “Dial Drunk.” In the fall, he was named an honoree on the TIME100 Next list. He also captured the No. 1 spot on two Billboard 2023 year-end Charts—Top New Rock & Alternative Artist and Adult Alternative Airplay Artist, as well as received two Billboard Music Awards nominations for Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Album. Not to mention, he recently spoke to Broken Record Podcast about his breakout success and was featured on the covers of Pollstar and Paste Magazine.

Kahan’s beloved Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) collaboration series includes releases with Gracie Abrams on “Everywhere, Everything,” Hozier on “Northern Attitude” (certified gold), Kacey Musgraves on “She Calls Me Back” (certified gold), Lizzy McAlpine on “Call Your Mom,” and Post Malone on “Dial Drunk” (certified platinum). Noah performed a cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Lacy” during his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, following her viral cover of “Stick Season.” Kahan’s massive year was filled with star-studded collaborations on-stage as well, with the likes of Mumford & Sons, Gregory Alan Isakov, Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers, Nathaniel Rateliff of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Milk Carton Kids, Joy Oladokun, and more at various headline shows and festivals.

On the first anniversary of Stick Season’s original release last October, the album’s global hit single saw a massive resurgence on the charts as temperatures dropped and “Stick Season” began—climbing to the Top 5 overall on the Spotify Top 200 Chart in the US, UK, and Canada and reappearing in the Top 10 on Billboard’s 200 chart for a second time, following a debut at No. 3 on Billboard’s 200 chart last summer. In July 2023, Noah released Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), an extension of 2022’s platinum-certified album and his most successful offering to date. The deluxe version featured “Dial Drunk,” which peaked at No. 1 on both the alternative and AAA radio charts in the US. The album also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Americana/Folk Albums Chart, No. 1 on the Billboard Top Alternative Albums Chart, No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart, and more. Impressively, Noah became the fifth artist in history with 18 songs on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative charts in one week, alongside David Bowie and Taylor Swift.

On last year’s World Mental Health Day, Noah proudly shared that his mental health initiative The Busyhead Project has excitingly surpassed its initial goal of $1 million for mental health and generated over $2 million dollars to date—to create a world where mental healthcare is acceptable and accessible for everyone.
