Concert will be held at the London Palladium this fall

Fifty years after making the original with Pink Floyd, Roger Waters has announced that he is to premiere his new recording, The Dark Side of the Moon Redux, live at The London Palladium, on October 8th. Joining Waters on stage will be bassist Gus Seyffert, drummer Joey Waronker, guitarist Jonathan Wilson, organist Johnny Shepherd, Via Mardot on Theremin, vocalist Azniv Korkejian, Gabe Noel on strings, keyboardist Jon Carin and pianist Robert Walter.

The show will be designed by Sean Evans, Waters long time Creative Director.

“We’re going to do it live at the London Palladium, in October…we look forward to that…hopefully performing it live on other occasions in the future,” Waters shares.

Pre-sales for Roger Waters live performance will start Wednesday, July 26th at 10 am, with general on-sale following on Friday, July 28th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster.

The re-imagined album, The Dark Side Of The Moon Redux is set for release on October 6th with a bonus 13-minute original composition inspired by the re-recording as a final track.

As foretold by its opening line, The Dark Side of the Moon Redux sees Waters transcend this half-century void to reinterpret and embellish his original creations with a new perspective gleaned from his own life experience, philosophy, and the wisdom of age, with added emphasis on the philosophical, social and political themes of the original.

Waters’ extraordinary vocal performance adds fresh layers of profundity to his classic lyrics, and gravelly wisdom to his philosophical new creations. Waters and Gus Seyffert’s production strips back Pink Floyd’s psychedelic orchestrations into something rawer and more delicate, but no-less experimentally inventive, exquisitely textured, and rich in musical intertext.
