Channel runs through September 1st

SiriusXM has launched the limited-run SiriusXM Hip-Hop at The Apollo channel, featuring music from groundbreaking artists of the genre who have performed at the renowned Apollo Theater. The channel continues the ongoing celebration of the genre’s 50th anniversary which was founded in The Bronx in 1973.

From Run DMC, MC Lyte and Lil Kim to Wu-Tang Clan, many iconic hip hop artists have graced the legendary stage at The Apollo in Harlem, New York. Taken from the long-running It’s Showtime At The Apollo television series, hear classic performances from hip hop’s biggest stars.

From the early days of Jazz, through decades of R&B and hip hop to today, The Apollo has been, and continues to be, the mecca of black culture and the launchpad for some of the most iconic artists. The Apollo continues to create unforgettable shows, and in collaboration with SiriusXM is now bringing these iconic hip hop performances right to listeners.

The channel runs September 14th on the SXM App and on channel 105 from August 22nd until September 1st.
