The Smile reveals debut single

Three intimate performances to be livestreamed from London

The Smile, the new group comprising Radioheadโ€™s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemetโ€™s Tom Skinner, have revealed their debut single, “You Will Never Work In Television Again.” The track, which is accompanied by a lyric video, was first heard in the bandโ€™s secret show as part of last yearโ€™s Glastonbury event Live At Worthy Farm. It is the first official release from The Smile, produced by Nigel Godrich.

The Smile will play three consecutive live shows within a 24 hour period at Magazine London on January 29th and 30th. Performing to a seated audience in the round, the three shows will also be broadcast in real time via livestream. The performances bring together a live show, a livestream and a cinematic film, captured by award-winning director, Paul Dugdale (The Rolling Stones, Adele, Paul McCartney) and produced by Driift.

Physical and livestream tickets are available Friday, January 7th at 9 am GMT via Driift. There will be three broadcast windows, which will be available as unlimited on-demand replays for 48 hours following each performance.

The first broadcast will air on Saturday, January 29th at 8 pm for London, 3 pm for New York and noon for Los Angeles, and Sunday, January 29th at 7 am for Sydney and 5 am for Tokyo.

The second broadcast will run Saturday, January 29th at 8 pm for New York, 5 pm for Los Angeles and Sunday, January 30th at noon for Sydney, 10 am for Tokyo and 1 am for London.

The final broadcast will run Sunday, January 29th at 10 pm for Sydney, 8 pm for Tokyo, 11 am for London, 6 am for New York and 3 am for Los Angeles.
