Thomas Rhett releases ‘Us Someday’

Track is from forthcoming Where We Started album

Thomas Rhett continues to preview new music from his upcoming sixth studio album Where We Started with the “Us Someday.” The song opens with an effervescent string arrangement as the superstar flexes his vocal skills. As the 18x chart-topper continues to mine his own romantic journey, the song was written by Thomas Rhett with father Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure and Amy Wadge, and joins previously released tracks, “Church Boots,” current Top 20-and-rising single “Slow Down Summer” and “Angels.”

“For me, this song is sort of talking to Lauren at 19 years old telling her, ‘I know you think this is crazy, but I believe all of these things are going to happen for us.’ And now here we are, over 10 years later, and most of those things actually happened, which is just the wildest thing,” said Thomas Rhett. “I also love how different this song sounds from the rest on the project, it opens with just strings and a vocal. I hope people will listen and be able to relate with their own relationships.”

Where We Started arrives April 1st via The Valory Music Co. Inspired by his return to the road — after foregoing live fan-filled arenas across the globe for his living room in Nashville like so many — the album marks a similar return to Rhett’s in-the-moment mix of tempo, transcendent romance and tip-of-the-spear sonic trailblazing, as country’s resident good-life philosopher shakes away a year-plus of off-stage dust. The 15 track album includes “Slow Down Summer,” which was released in November 2021, following 18 career No. 1 smashes.

Continuing the momentum leading into his highly-anticipated sixth studio album, the reigning ACM Awards Male Artist of the Year has earned fresh nominations at the 57th ACM Awards for Album of the Year for Country Again: Side A and Male Artist of the Year. The ACM Awards will stream live on Prime Video on Monday, March 7th at 8 pm EST/5 pm PST from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Rhett kicks off the Bring the Bar to You Tour on June 17th in Gilford, NH. Produced by Live Nation and presented by Dos Primos, the trek will visit over 30 cities throughout the US with special guests Parker McCollum and Conner Smith.
