Song will air during CBS special

Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard are joining the long and growing list of performers at President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday (Jan 20th). The country stars will perform their new single “Undivided” that will air during the CBS special Celebrating America.

“I’m so excited to share that Tim and I were asked to sing ‘Undivided’ at the Inauguration,” Hubbard shares of the news. “What an honor it will be to get to share such an important message during such a historical moment in time. I pray that this song ignites unity and love for one another like never before. Thank you Lord for giving us this song and the opportunity to be a light.”

Hubbard wrote the feel-good track, described as a personal call to themselves that serves as a call for self-reflection and unity during these most uncertain times, during a COVID-19 quarantine on his tour bus outside his Nashville area home last fall. Weighing the dualities that drive people apart, Hubbard suggests embracing the gray area between black and white. In that notion, the Georgia-born/raised musician believes considering where others are coming from as the start of something that can bring us together.

The 90-minute CBS primetime special, Celebrating America, airs from 8:30-10 pm ET/PT on January 20th to celebrate the beginning of a new national journey toward an America united. The special is hosted by Tom Hanks and features performances by Garth Brooks, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen and Jennifer Lopez with Lady Gaga to sing the National Anthem.
