Doctors discovered blood clots throughout singer’s body

Pop and gospel singer Tori Kelly has been hospitalized and is being treated for blood clots in her vital organs after passing out during dinner with friends on Sunday (July 23rd) in Los Angeles. TMZ was the first to report that friends of the Grammy-winning artist drove Kelly from downtown to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after a rapid heartbeat and she passed out.

Sources say she was “out for a while” and friends opted to carry her to a car where they rushed her to Beverly Hills to be treated at one of the most premier hospitals in the country.

The 30-year-old Kelly was admitted into ICU where doctor’s discovered clots in her legs and lungs. They are currently determining if any appear around her heart. Reports say Kelly has drifted in and out of consciousness during her hospital stay.

Her condition is unclear as of press time, but TMZ says her situation is “really serious.” No one on her team has confirmed or commented on Kelly’s condition. Her husband, André Murillo, shared lyrics to “Where Do I Fit In,” a song she shared with Justin Bieber in 2021, on his Instagram Story on Tuesday (July 25th), but made no mention of Kelly’s hospitalization.

Kelly is set to release her new seven-track EP, Tori, on Friday, July 28th via Epic Records. The project follows the recent critically acclaimed lead single “Missin U,” and heralds the beginning of a new chapter for the superstar. It marks the first original body of work from the pop star since 2020.
