Singer has been hospitalized since Sunday night

Pop and gospel singer Tori Kelly appears to be on the mend after being hospitalized for blood clots over the weekend. Kelly’s husband André Murillo shared an update about his wife’s condition on social media on Wednesday (July 26th).

“Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger. Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers,” he shares. “Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so so much!”

Kelly is currently being treated by doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills after passing out due to rapid heart rate on Sunday while dining out with friends in Downtown Los Angeles. Sources say she was “out for a while” and friends opted to carry her to a car where they rushed her to Beverly Hills to be treated at one of the most premier hospitals in the country.

The 30-year-old Kelly was admitted into ICU where doctor’s discovered clots in her legs and lungs. They are currently determining if any her heart is in danger of any clots. Reports say Kelly has drifted in and out of consciousness during her hospital stay.

Kelly is set to release her new seven-track EP, Tori, on Friday, July 28th via Epic Records. The project follows the recent critically acclaimed lead single “Missin U,” and heralds the beginning of a new chapter for the superstar. It marks the first original body of work from the pop star since 2020.
