New global pop girl group releases its second pre-debut single

Vcha – a first-of-its-kind global pop girl group from K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment and Republic Records – has released its second pre-debut single, “Ready for the World” via JYP Entertainment/Republic Records.

Vcha is the first global girl group trained through the K-pop system and was formed through the competition series A2K. A2K audiences received a taste of “Ready for the World” during the competition program, as a portion of the track was utilized as the show’s theme song. As fully formed group, Vcha has released a full version of the track, which was originally written by JYP Entertainment founder JY Park. It serves as a full circle moment for the group, demonstrating that the Vcha members are ready to show themselves to the world.

Along with the full version of the beloved track, Vcha also released a sentimental video for “Ready for the World,” which also serves as an exciting announcement for fans. The video ends with the reveal of the group’s highly anticipated official debut date – January 26, 2024 – on which they will release their official debut single.

The video features side-by-side videos of the members current performances and A2K performances, showcasing how far they have come since audiences first fell in love with them during A2K auditions. The video is nostalgic and impactful, and with the editing and announcement at the end, drives home the message that VCHA is truly ready to take on the world.

Vcha was formed through the competition series A2K and revealed during the show’s two-part finale on September 20th and 21st. The series – helmed by JYP Entertainment, Republic Records, and Federal Films – had contestants showcase their dancing, singing, star quality, and character through auditions, a Los Angeles boot camp, and training at JYP Entertainment in Seoul, Korea, before the final group was selected.
