The new project features “Rainin On Me,” available now

Country singer-songwriter Wade Bowen will release his new album Flyin on Friday, May 10th through his Bowen Sounds via Thirty Tigers/The Orchard. The 12-track record features a curated track listing of diverse songs ranging from old-fashioned honky-tonk country to gut-wrenching ballads, classic rock and even a love song to Texas that highlights how his home state shaped who he is today.

As the second project that Bowen has produced fully himself, Flyin came together over a year and provides listeners with an unexpected array of songs that will keep them on their toes and take them through a unique, musical journey. With this album, Bowen explores the individuality of each song and takes a deep dive into his creativity through songwriting and storytelling.

“More than ever, people need to hear songwriters talk about their lives,” Bowen states. “We don’t always have to search for monster hits. We can just write about our lives and maybe that might actually work. That’s what this record is a lot of. A lot of massive songs, but also a lot of me just writing authentically and honestly about my life.”

Flyin will be Bowen’s tenth studio album, and it marks the next phase of his career, stating “I feel like I’m flying into this chapter where I’m the best version of myself that I’ve ever been. Y’all better catch up or you’re getting left behind. I’m on fire!”

Alongside this announcement, Bowen also released the first single from the album, “Rainin On Me,” with an accompanying music video. Written alongside good friend Randy Montana, “Rainin On Me” is an up-tempo, Eagles-inspired track that takes Bowen back to the music he listened to growing up. The video brings the lyrics to life from Bowen embracing complete sadness in the rain to drowning his sorrows in a bar and contemplating while driving down the Texas roads.

A road warrior at heart, Bowen continues to let touring take center stage, performing more than 200 dates a year across the US. He has a steady stream of festivals and tour dates lined up for the year, including a special run in May in his hometown of New Braunfels, TX alongside long-time friend and collaborator, Miranda Lambert.

In addition to music, Bowen founded the Bowen Family Foundation, which has helped children and families in and around central Texas. The organization recently surpassed $6 million raised for beneficiaries including March of Dimes Waco, CASA of McLennan and Hill Counties, City of West Disaster Relief, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco, Inspiración, The Mentoring Alliance, and more. Up next, in August, the foundation will host their annual invite-only golf tournament, Bowen Invitational, which raised nearly $1 million in 2023.
