Song is from forthcoming “Butter” CD single

K-Pop Icons BTS’ latest summer hit “Butter” remains on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five consecutive weeks. Out of the 54 songs to launch on No. 1, it’s the 11th song to remain at the summit in the first five weeks. “Butter” is also the second longest reigning song from its debut by a group in the chart’s history and is the band’s fourth chart-topping single in less than a year.

The track became the most streamed song in a single day in Spotify’s history, amassing 20.9 million global streams on the first day. The accompanying music video also set a new all time 24 hour record of 108.2 million views and the biggest music video Premiere on YouTube with 3.9 million peak concurrents.

“Butter” secures the superstars as the first group to have a trio of No. 1 entrances as well as the fastest group to run their first four No. 1 singles since the Jackson 5 in 1970.

The song appears on the upcoming “Butter” CD single and box set slated for July 9th, the same day when the BTS ARMY was founded. The disc features “Butter” and a new track. The limited edition CD box set will be available in two versions: Peaches or Cream, and will be distributed at random when ordered.

A month later, on August 6th, the group will release The Besta 2 CD compilation featuring Japanese versions of their biggest hits. Several limited edition configurations will be available featuring 23 tracks with a Blu-ray and DVD component containing several “making of” videos. The compilation, released via Big Hit Entertainment in partnership with Geffen and Interscope, contains “Film Out,” “DNA” and their first-ever English language single, “Dynamite,” which saw them become the first Korean pop act to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
