Song is latest from 25th anniversary of Shadow of the Moon
Blackmore’s Night has released a new version of their song “Greensleeves.” This special version of the track is one of two previously unreleased acoustic recordings that will be part of the 25th anniversary edition of Blackmore’s Night’s debut album, Shadow Of The Moon, due March 10th via earMUSIC.
Hardly any musical piece in history has received as much attention from a wide variety of artists as the song “Greensleeves,” which originally comes from the 16th century. Without a doubt, the interpretation by Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night from 2022 is one of the most beautiful and well-known versions.
The song was originally released by Blackmore’s Night on their 1997 debut album Shadow Of The Moon.
The new edition was converted in HD audio from the original recording, and it has been fully remixed, allowing the original performance to shine in its original glory. The original iconic artwork has been refreshed and reworked to celebrate the anniversary and includes a DVD with a 30 minute documentary on the making of the album, music videos and audio commentary.
To fully celebrate the occasion, two limited black vinyl LPs of Shadow Of The Moon (25th Anniversary Edition) will carry a “Golden Ticket” where two lucky fans will win an original and signed Fender Ritchie Blackmore Olympic White Stratocaster guitar.
