The project features debut performances & live classics from Racket, NYC
The Rolling Stones will release Hackney Diamonds (Live Edition) featuring all seven tracks performed at last month’s launch event at Racket in New York City. Released on January 19th the 2 CD format includes debut performances of four tracks from the recent album including “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” with Lady Gaga as well as performances of “Shattered,” “Tumbling Dice,” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
Additionally, The Stones have released a lyric video for “Bite My Head Off” featuring footage from Racket and unseen studio footage of Paul McCartney from the album recording sessions.
Hackney Diamonds is the Stones’ first studio set of original material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The album charted at No. 1 in 19 territories around the world selling over a million units since release in October. Lead single “Angry” was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 2024 Grammy Awards, whilst the single became the Stones’ first Top 40 single in the UK in 18 years.
Hackney Diamonds marks Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood’s first album produced by producer and musician Andrew Watt. The project features collaborations with Lady Gaga, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Wonder along with contributions from the late Charlie Watts and former Stones bassist Bill Wyman.
The band will tour in support of the album. The Stones Tour 2024 Hackney Diamonds will play 16 cities throughout North America between April and July, including Houston, Las Vegas, Seattle, Orlando, and an appearance at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. The group will play a combination of classic hits, deep cuts and songs from the band’s new album, Hackney Diamonds. The trek marks the band’s return to North America since their 2021 No Filter Tour.
The band recently introduced their very own signature rum, Crossfire Hurricane, inspired by the opening lyric of their hit song “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” The drink elevates any cocktail, showcasing everything a bartender is looking for from a rum while still being welcoming for the quality rum consumer. Rooted in rock & roll, the rum encapsulates the edgy and timeless spirit of the band.
