The new edition features a total of 39 tracks
Beloved global icon Dolly Parton is celebrating her birthday this year by surprising fans with a deluxe version of her genre-bending Rockstar album entitled Rockstar Deluxe on streaming platforms. Parton’s first-ever rock album became her highest-performing album in sales during its debut week and accumulated six No 1’s on the Billboard charts. Additionally, Rockstar lands at No. 5 on Billboard’s top-selling country albums of 2023. The 39-song collection features an all-star roster of some of music’s greatest artists revisiting 21 classic rock songs alongside 13 of Parton’s original tracks.
“It’s my birthday so I’m going to give you a present! I’m releasing four never-released songs for my birthday, to go with the Rockstar album, and a few others that you may have heard before that were not on the album. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you all have a happy birthday for me! LOL,” the global superstar shares.
Now, in honor of her 78th birthday on January 19th, the legendary entertainer is giving fans even more rock with the release of Rockstar Deluxe which includes nine additional tracks – five previously exclusive retailer tracks and four that have never been released.
Among the special guests on the highly-anticipated project are former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Kid Rock, Warren Haynes, Joan Jett, Peter Frampton, Pink, Brandi Carlile, Elton John, Melissa Etheridge, Lizzo, Steven Tyler, Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx & John 5, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others.
