LL Cool J and Chlöe have canceled their scheduled performances as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022LL Cool J’s cancelation is due to a positive COVID-19 test, while no word on why Chlöe’s appearance was canceled.

“I know it’s disappointing to the millions of fans, but my test came back positive for COVID, which means I’ll no longer be able to perform as scheduled at NYRE,” LL Cool J says in a statement. “We were ready, and I was really looking forward to ringing in 2022 in my hometown in a special way, but for now I wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year. The best is yet to come!”

The rapper was set to give a spectacular performance of his iconic hits from the NYRE stage while the pop and R&B superstar was set to wow with an unforgettable performance of her chart-topping hit, “Have Mercy.”

Journey and Karol G are still scheduled to perform from Times Square, as of press time. ABC will be airing the 50th anniversary the most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration nationwide live December 31st at 8 pm EST/PST on ABC.
