Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ tops Billboard 200

Nicki Minajโ€™s fifth full-length album and one of the most-anticipated rap sequels of all time, Pink Friday 2, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With this stellar showing, she makes history and notches โ€œthe most No. 1โ€™s on the Billboard 200 by a female rapper ever!โ€ Speaking of her enduring impact as one of the worldโ€™s most impactful superstars, she stands out as โ€œthe first female rap artist to land a No. 1 album in two decades.โ€

Pink Friday 2 tallied total consumption of 228K-plus units and netted โ€œher biggest streaming week everโ€ with 170 million album streams. Among other accolades, it has earned โ€œthe biggest female rap album and R&B/Hip-Hop Album Sales & Streaming Week of 2023โ€ and โ€œthe biggest sales week for a female rap album on vinyl in the Soundscan era,โ€ according to Billboard.

Moreover, it vaulted to No. 1 on the Top Album Sales Chart, the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and Rap Albums Chart. It ranks in the โ€œTop 3 Hip-Hop Debuts of 2023โ€ and โ€œTop 10 Overall Debuts of 2023.โ€ Plus, itโ€™s her seventh Top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Taking over popular culture, she graced the December cover of Vogue and appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen. During the latter, she donated toys and $50K to Toys For Tots. Next up, she guests on ABCโ€™s Live with Kelly and Mark! on December 19th and CBSโ€™ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on December 20th. She recently supported content creators Kai Cenat and Funny Marco, resulting in internet-breaking moments, and performed at select Jingle Ball dates across the country. Nicki also served fans her newest fragrance, Pink Friday 2, the sequel to her original, iconic Pink Friday fragrance.

Next year, she embarks on her worldwide outing, Nicki Minaj Presents: Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The Barbz have eagerly anticipated her touring return with headline arena shows in North America and Europe, including festival appearances at Rolling Loud California and Dreamville Festival. The trek is her largest to date.
