UK’s most successful live act celebrates 30th anniversary

Take That has announced that they will release their Odyssey: Greatest Hits Live concert film on November 15th via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Filmed on the final night of their critically acclaimed 30th anniversary tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in front of a 45,000 strong crowd, the concert film perfectly captures one of the biggest UK tours of the year. Featuring exclusive content including a fan Q&A with the band, the film gives fans the chance to relive, or see for the first time, Take That’s incredible live show in all its glory, jam-packed with their greatest hits celebrating their 30 years in music.

Odyssey: Greatest Hits Live is being released on digital formats in the US. A live version of “Relight My Fire” is available on all streaming and download services. The set will be available on multiple formats including a 2 CD/DVD/Blu-ray package presented in a 12×12 hardback book with 48 color page book with photos; CD/DVD set and standalone Blu-ray.

With over 600,000 tickets sold, Take That’s Greatest Hits Live Tour was one of the biggest tours of the year, seeing Gary, Mark and Howard play 29 arenas, nine stadiums and 15 cities around the UK. Take That are renowned for their spectacular live shows, having created some of the most unforgettable tours in British music history and the Greatest Hits Live Tour was no exception.

With a rotating 30-ton sphere taking center stage, the incredible two hour show wowed fans nationwide with Gary, Mark and Howard thrilling the sell-out audiences with a mix of high energy dance routines, spectacular set designs and some beautifully re-imagined versions of their greatest hits. Along with special guest Lulu and support act Rick Astley, Take That’s Greatest Hits Live Tour garnered much acclaim, being described as a “crowd-pleasing skip down memory lane…” by The Guardian.

The final night of the tour also broke the record for the highest-grossing live music cinema broadcast in the UK and Ireland when it was screened live into 630 cinemas across the UK and Ireland to over 100,000 fans over the weekend. The event was also broadcast live in 25 countries across Europe and was screened in a total of 31 countries and on over 1,300 screens worldwide.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen are Take That in 2019 and continue the legacy of one of the most successful bands in British chart history. Formed as a five-piece in 1989, they enjoyed immediate success with their first two albums charting at No. 2 and No. 1 respectively. Third album Nobody Else confirmed their global domination, selling over six million copies and topping the charts in 11 countries. The 2018 release of their highly anticipated greatest hits album, Odyssey, gave the band their eighth No. 1 album and was also the fastest-selling album of 2018, selling over 100,000 copies in just one week, a testament to the breadth and longevity of their career and their ability to create timeless and relevant pop music.
