Snare celebrates long and storied history with Metallica drummer
TAMA Drums is commemorating the 30th anniversary of Metallica’s Black Album with the Lars Ulrich Limited Edition Signature Black Album Snare Drum. With only 300 available worldwide, the drum features an all Matte Black finish, 3mm Diamond Plated Steel Shell, and specially designed Black Album badge. When people heard Metallica’s Black Album, which was released on August 12, 1991, the positive public feedback was overwhelming. For many fans worldwide, a focal point was the uniquely large, daring, and groundbreaking drum sound. Its heartbeat was a snare that helped drive the songs with weight and verve, and the fans responded in their millions to ensure that The Black Album would leave an indelible mark on rock music.
The snare is 14″ x 6.5″ and features die-cast hoops with a Remo Black Suede Ambassador head with the Metallica logo. An extra Remo Black Suede Ambassador Drumhead with the Metallica logo and Lars Ulrich’s hand signed autograph is also included.
List price is $1599.99 each. A TAMA rep I spoke with directly believes all US allocations are pre-sold, but suggests checking with any authorized TAMA dealer, if interested.
