Limited edition seven album set available now
Vinyl Me, Please (VMP) announces VMP Anthology: The Story of Willie Nelson to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first LP released by the legendary Willie Nelson. This exclusive, limited edition seven-album, nine-LP vinyl box set takes listeners on an immersive experience through the vast discography of Willie Nelson, one of the finest and most prolific contributors to American music.
VMP Anthology: The Story of Willie Nelson spans six decades of Willie Nelson’s career, spanning from his most well-known to the out-of-print and never-before-on-vinyl titles, from deep cuts in Willie’s discography like Country Willie and Across the Borderline, to some of his most towering artistic and commercial peaks like Red Headed Stranger and Always on My Mind.
The first edition is limited to 1,500 on exclusive 180-gram colored vinyl and is housed in a high-quality commemorative box designed by VMP’s Art Director Clay Conder and inspired by the Outlaw Country album covers, tour posters, and wanted posters of the early-mid 70s. The albums are remastered from original audio sources with lacquers cut at GZ, and mastered by Bernie Grundman. The Anthology is accompanied by a Listening Notes booklet featuring photos and lyrics, and a podcast series to serve as a definitive guide to each album.

Willie Nelson’s latest studio album titled A Beautiful Time will also arrive on Friday, April 29th to time with his 89th birthday. The new release will be available on vinyl (black vinyl as well as an exclusive orange vinyl edition for Barnes & Noble), CD, and digital formats, including in spatial hi-res audio in Atmos and 360RA formats.
VMP Anthology is a reinvented, immersive box set experience for music fans willing to journey beyond the liner notes. Each Anthology features expert storytelling, exclusive inserts, and a collectors edition vinyl box set. The Story of Willie Nelson is the 13th VMP Anthology release.
