The song was written and recorded in quarantine

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band has released a brand new digital single and lyric video for “You and Islands,” an optimistic, captivating track that was written, recorded and produced while in quarantine. The release comes off the heels of the band’s latest single, “The Man Who Loves You The Most,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales Chart.

Co-written by Zac Brown, Ben Simonetti and Adam James, “You and Islands” features Brown’s beautiful vocals and uplifting lyrics, as he reminisces on life and a blissful time on an island. The song brings a sense of positivity to others while looking towards a life we all are eager and excited to start living again.

“This unprecedented time at home has given us the opportunity to write and share new music with our fans. As we continue to navigate through this together, we hope our music can bring you a little bit of positivity and transport you to a different time and place – even if just for a few minutes,” says Brown. “This was a fun track to record. We hope you sing along with us as we daydream about days to come!”

The release of “You and Islands” comes shortly after Zac Brown Band’s “4th With The Family” livestream performance in partnership with LiveXLive earlier this month, which raised over $1.4 million for Brown’s nonprofit passion project Camp Southern Ground and its veteran support programs. Streamed from Camp Southern Ground, the event featured a special acoustic performance of fan favorites like “Chicken Fried,” “Free,” “Homegrown” and “The Man Who Loves You The Most.”

“You and Islands” is an independent release on all digital platforms by Home Grown Music.
