Band releases teaser and message

AmazeVR and SM Entertainment will present the world premiere of Aespa VR Concert at Kwangya at the SXSW XR Experience in Austin, TX from March 12-14th. The full release of the VR concert will be coming soon across all major VR headset platforms. The K-pop group hits the stage in the SM Culture Universe’s virtual world with their debut song “Black Mamba” and “Illusion.”

“We’re so excited to exclusively premiere a glimpse of our first VR concert at Kwangya at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. We prepared a special VR concert that can’t be found anywhere else in the world and it is a unique way to meet face to-face with our MYs,” the group says. “We can’t wait to share the full release with everyone soon. See you soon at Kwangya!”

Produced by AmazeVR and SM Entertainment, the VR Concert uses AmazeVR’s proprietary technology, to capture high-definition stereoscopic live-action footage of artists.

“With 9K+ resolution, Aespa shares an up-close performance in which it feels like the members are right in front of your eyes,” shares AmazonVR CEO Steve Lee. “Just as Spotify changed the way that we listen to music, AmazeVR will change the way that we experience music. AmazeVR Concerts are made with the most cutting edge production technology, Unreal Engine-based VFX Tools, and AI modules. Experience the next stage of music.”

The XR exhibition screenings will be held in the Fairmont Hotel Congressional Ballroom from 11 am until 6 pm on March 12, 13 and 14th.
