Show is the third in the city in less than a year
Garth Brooks is performing his third show in Salt Lake City in less than year. The country superstar has added a new opening night for June 17th at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
At the first on sale last Friday (Apr 22nd), Brooks sold 50,000 tickets in 45 minutes then quickly sold out. The 2021 concert at the venue sold out in less than 30 minutes. This will be the only return date in any North American city and is Brooks’ last Stadium Tour concert in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming.
Tickets will be on sale, Friday, April 29th at 10 am MT via Ticketmaster, 1-877-654-2784 or through the Ticketmaster App on your mobile phone. Tickets will cost $94.95, all inclusive.
The news follows an earlier announcement on Monday (Apr 25th) that Brooks will perform a second show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. The new opening night concert will be Friday, May 20th with the second night on Saturday, May 21st.
Only three cities remain to be announced as the Stadium Tour concludes with five sold out shows in Dublin, Ireland this September. Four hundred thousand tickets sold out within four hours, marking a new milestone for the country star who hasn’t performed in the city in 25 years.
Since the tour began in March 2019, Brooks has broken 24 attendance records and has sold an average of 90,000 tickets in each city. His largest single show so far on this trek is Baton Rouge with a sell out of 102,000 ticket sellout in two hours for this weekend at Louisiana State University.
Brooks will also make good on a promise to return to Notre Dame this spring. He recently sold out his first-ever headlining appearance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX which prompted standing room tickets to be offered at half price. Additional shows were added in Nashville (which we attended), Cincinnati and Charlotte. They were among the six cities that were canceled due to rising COVID cases last summer.
