Band is rumored to tour with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard

Poison is teasing a tour announcement this week. The glam metal rockers have shared a countdown clock on their website that will hit zero on Wednesday, December 4th at 4:30 pm ET/1:30 pm PT. They are expected to announce a tour with a newly reunited Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard that will see them performing in North American stadiums throughout 2020.

“That is the rumor,” Michaels shares during a FOX 11 LA interview last weekend as he discussed being honored with the Humanitarian of the Year Award at the 88th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade

Rolling Stone first shared the rumors two weeks ago, stating that Mötley Crüe, who signed a a Cessation of Touring agreement in 2014, would be reuniting for the summer trek. Hours later, the band confirmed the reunion due to the huge success of their Netflix biopic The Dirt.

Poison last toured in 2018 with Cheap Trick and Pop Evil on the headlining Nothing But A Good Time Tour 2018. At the conclusion of the trek, frontman Bret Michaels confirmed that new Poison music may coincide with the 2020 trek.

“I think one or two songs, singles route, one hundred thousand percent,” the singer tells Loudwire. “We’ve already written one song on the road that we’ve been jamming at soundcheck. It really sounds good — it’d a very modern song with a great feel and great hook. There’s a second one we’re working on too.”

Michaels is currently on his Unbroken World Tour with his solo band and just released the title track he co-wrote with daughter Jorga Bleu. The singer/songwriter will release Bret Michaels’ Pictures & Stories Volume 1 available early next year. The autobiography will include never before seen photos and stories never told.

More details about the tour as they become available.
