AXS TV will air the national broadcast on Sept 17th

The star-studded 2020 SummerStage Jubilee has been announced to raise funds and awareness for New York’s City Parks Foundation. SummerStage Jubilee blends immersive cinematics with enduring songs and personal stories, creating a one-of-a-kind concert event that puts the spotlight on intimate ‘home performances’ from a diverse lineup of artists and entertainers. GRAMMY-winning rock superstar Sting, beloved TV and radio personality Ryan Seacrest, multi-talented music icon Paul Shaffer, comedy legend Lewis Black, celebrated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright, Tony-winning Hamilton standout Leslie Odom Jr., chart-topping songstress Norah Jones, tennis trailblazer Billie Jean King, genre-defying musician and author Rosanne Cash, fan-favorite Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, GRAMMY-winning R&B upstart H.E.R., and more are set to appear.

AXS TV is the national television broadcaster of the event, airing Thursday, September 17th at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT and again 11 pm ET/8 pm PT. SummerStage Jubilee will also be available to AXS TV’s viewers as an on demand offering for up to 30 days following the original broadcast.

“Entertainment and recreation are more important than ever before, helping to provide a sense of normalcy, escape, and balance that is desperately needed right now,” states Frank J. Tanki, General Manager of AXS TV. “We are proud to serve as the national television broadcast partner of SummerStage Jubilee, a truly one-of-a-kind experience that delivers unforgettable performances while raising funds and awareness for the vital programs the City Parks Foundation provides. We look forward to sharing this concert with our viewers, and we hope they will join us in supporting this cause.”

The show will also broadcast on SummerStage’s social media channels. Fans can watch via Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch.

All proceeds from the 90 minute special event will go towards enriching the organization’s programs, which includes free tennis and golf instruction and environmental science-based lessons; as well as providing tools and supplies for volunteers to beautify local parks; funding training, coaching, and microgrants; and maintaining the City Parks Foundation’s new SummerStage Anywhere virtual arts festival, among others. Viewers can get involved by donating to the City Parks Foundation at various points throughout the night, and by visiting the City Parks Foundation website.
